Claremont community restoration & revival program
The Claremont Rotary Club sponsors a cleanup program targeted to help senior citizens, those with mobility issues and others who, for physical and financial reasons, may have gotten behind in the upkeep of their yard. The Community Restoration and Revival Program's enthusiastic and energetic volunteers are comprised of local students of several levels. The students visit the residences of those whom qualify and are in need, and perform a one-time free cleanup including: removing dead and dried brush and plants, pulling weeds, trimming bushes, minor tree trimming.
Key advantages to the program include:
- The appearance of the home and neighborhood is improved.
- Wildfire risk is reduced by clearing away dried brush and other fuel from the house and property.
- Code Enforcement notification and subsequent fines are avoided.
- In some cases, reducing fire risk may earn discounts on homeowner's insurance.
