active Claremont's mission is To: - advocate communication & understanding between Claremont citizens & their local government, - promote public awareness of & interest in local issues - encourage a spirit of volunteerism in the Claremont community.

Adopt-a-Roadway - Active Claremont hosts monthly Street Cleanups, where roadside trash, litter and other detritus are removed - all aimed at keeping Claremont looking like the premium community that it is. Currently Active Claremont's efforts are focused on Baseline Road, and the On- and Off-ramps for the I-10 at Indian Hill and I-210 at Towne. Active Claremont typically removes about a ton of trash each year from our streets and highway ramps. We believe one of the best ways to support Claremont's value is to make a positive and noticeable first impression when entering the city.

Fourth of July - Our popular booth at Claremont's Independence Day celebration is an ideal spot to meet in-person with those in the community, share Active Claremont's goals and receive feedback and suggestions from the residents.

Speaker Series: Almost every month, Active Claremont brings the very best speakers to the Hughes Center to speak on topics important to the City and Citizens of Claremont and surrounding communities. Free admission, and everyone is welcome to attend.
Candidate Forum: When election time comes around, Active Claremont hosts the candidates for informational forums and Q&A sessions to aid the community in making informed choices when voting. Forums are held prior to elections for our City Council, the Claremont Unified School District Board, and other elected positions. Coming in January 2026, Active Claremont will be hosting a forum regarding solving homelessness.
