Claremont community restoration & revival program
The Claremont Rotary Club sponsors a cleanup program targeted to help senior citizens, those with mobility issues and others who, for physical and financial reasons, may have gotten behind in the upkeep of their yard. The Community Restoration and Revival Program's enthusiastic and energetic volunteers are comprised of local students of several levels. They visit the residences of those who qualify and are in need to perform a one-time free cleanup, including removing dried brush, weeds and plants, trimming bushes and trees. Key advantages to the program include:
- The appearance of the home and neighborhood is improved.
- Wildfire risk is reduced by clearing away dried brush from the house and property.
- Code Enforcement notification and subsequent fines are avoided.
- In some cases, reducing fire risk may earn homeowner's insurance discounts.
